Another sign that times are changing

I went out of town a couple of weeks ago and while I was gone, J said that when he went to get the twins from nap time he saw this:
Both sisters in the same bed!  Mercy.  I guess I should be surprised that it took so long!  We were thinking that it may only be a one time event, but alas NOT!  At this point they actually won't sleep alone.  Apparently, they like sleeping cramped together in the same bed.

Well, I wanted to know how they got from crib to crib, so I asked Ella to show me how they do it.  Here is her demo:
And viola!

Needless to say, we are on the hunt for new beds.  I guess it is time, afterall, they are 3!!  If only I could decide - bunk, captain, twin, full...  I need time to make big decisions.  What?  I've had 3 years!

Crazy, my little twinkies are 3!!  Ahhhhhhh....

I think it's SO sweet that the girls want to sleep together. I can't remember the last time Laney slept in her own bed at night....they just love the feeling the warmth of each other.

Have you looked into conversion twin/bunk beds? Keep them twins until you think they're ready for bunks.

They are resourceful, those girls!

My big kids slept together for a LONG time! I won't even tell you how long b/c they'd be embarrassed:) We finally weaned them to their own beds in their own rooms, but it wasn't easy.

We have bunk beds that can be de-bunked (I think that's what Jessi is talking about). They are bunked now since no one needs the top, but once the baby comes we'll either put a kid on top or take them apart.

get a double, since they love sleeping together, and then you have a nice bed for guests too.
