Invasion!

The brothers have the flu. Yep, the influenza virus has hit the Mad house and taken out the 2 soldiers pictured above. We have body aches, coughing, sneezing, super lethargic little boys. Oh, and did I mention that they have been running temperatures in the 101-104 range? It began on my birthday night and was really bad yesterday. All they wanted to do yesterday was lay in front of the TV. They didn't eat anything, drink anything and I'm not sure they even moved much all day. Very, highly, extremely unusual. Actually I don't think that they have ever both been this sick before and they definitely haven't been this sick at the same time.

I think that they are feeling a little better today. They haven't eaten or drank much, but they have found some energy to bicker over what they want to watch on tv.

I have them confined to the playroom and feel the need to wear a hazmat suit every time I go in there. Seriously, when Luke coughs I see the germs come flying at me. Last night Luke came into the living room, walked right up to me, climbed in my lap and opened his mouth to kiss me. Now don't get me wrong, I love open mouthed kisses, but not when they are accompanied by flu germs.

The girls don't have it...yet. Joseph took the girls in for their flu shot today. Neither the boys or I got one. Actually I have never had the flu shot. I'm not really into shots. But that's a whole other post for another day!

Please pray that the rest of us can somehow stay healthy and not catch this one.
