Words of endearment

It has been a long week here at the Mad house with sick children, so when Joseph came home last night and took one look at me, he suggested I get out of the house by myself for a while and pick up dinner. I was more than happy to take him up on the suggestion since I hadn't really left the house in 4 days and that is a long time for me!

Before I went to pick up dinner I stopped at the grocery store to buy beer (and the sad part it wasn't even for me). While I was there, I had an encounter with the teeneage boy that left me giggling like a school girl with a racing heart. I am old enough to be his mom's younger sister oldest sister, but he still left me flushed with excitment over the 5 most special words that I could have heard this past week:

"Can I see your ID?"

Oh, you sweet young boy. How you've made this poor, old, mother-who-has-been-taking-care-of-sick-children-and-is-exhausted, so happy!

LOVE IT! By the way, you can take "old" out of your last sentence, because you are not old!
