Y'all are going to think I am so mean!

Last Saturday night Luke was up past midnight. Joseph and I went to bed at 10:30pm and he was still awake. Our room and the boys room share a wall (we will make sure that never happens again!) and at midnight I could hear him playing in the closet! I did what I always do, elbowed Joseph and asked him to see what his child was doing and then rolled over and went back to sleep.

The next morning Caleb comes into our room and announces, "You're not going to be happy when you see what Luke did!" Once again, I did what I always do and asked Joseph to please go and see what his child has done.

He comes back with a crying Luke in hand and this is what I saw:

Joseph's child had colored himself with a purple marker - all over his body. Seriously. He is almost 4 years old!! Definitely old enough to know better.

So, I did what any fabulous mama does. I grabbed my handy-dandy camera and told him to stand still while I took his picture.

I know, so mean!

If he didn't do silly things, I would't have to take a silly picture!

That is soooooo funny! :0) I love that you took a picture. Priceless! I have some similar ones with multi-colored marker but not quite as much coverage. I think he will love that one when he is older. I have missed some great photo opportunities when I didn't handle the moment quite as well.

Oh, you HAD to take a picture of THAT! I have a picture of Max, too, with blue and yellow highlighter all over his entire body.

Did you see Big Mama's post today? www.thebigmamablog.com Her daughter is almost 5. I just remembered that Max wrote all over himself last year (5 yrs, too) with a pen and I sent him to Cubbies that way.

I love your story! My daughter got into her tia's make-up at naptime at my in-laws. She got in a lot of trouble, but I had to take a picture first. The look on her face is priceless, and I get to see it everyday b/c I put it on my fridge. It's one of my favorite mommy stories.

That's hilarious! My cousin did something similar-- but instead of coloring herself she colored her baby sister in green permanent markers. Fun times!

I think it's most entertaining that you subtly referred to Luke as Joseph's child. Hahaha! So was the marker washable?
